The tension surrounding Barcelona midfield ace Pablo Gavira has been going on for a while now. Following the signing of his new deal on September last year, things didn’t quite go as smooth regarding his registration.

Now to the series of court appeals and counter-appeals on the issue, FFP regulations seem to have edged out after all as La Liga has yet again refused to approve Pablo Gavira's registration as a first team player.

Following the previous verdict where Gavi was finally allowed to don the iconic blaugrana No 6 as a first team player, the court has yet again overturned the decision against Barcelona's favor.

As per La Liga Financial Fair Play conditions, Barcelona is apparently yet to meet the requirements and hence Gavi will have to continue playing as a Barca Athletic player. La Liga official website has also changed his jersey No back to #30 in his about info.

This is considered something of a setback as the situation has drawn the attention of other European giants, who might be interested to lure the 18-year-old out. Reports, however, assure that there is no such concern between the player and the club. Pablo Gavira is already on the new payroll and the bond between the player and the club is just as strong as it has been throughout.

All in all, Barcelona may have to wait a little longer until they get to sort out all issues regarding FFP regulations and register Gavi as a first team player for good.

The Next time Gavi dons the legendary No 6, we sure wouldn’t like to watch him hang it up as early or abruptly as now. Until then, Gavi will be wearing the no-less-iconic #30, Lionel Messi's debut Number!
