With the World Cup being 11 days away, countries participating have already released - or are about to release - their official squad for the biggest event in football, The FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar.

Didier Deschamps' led France released the official squad for the competition this evening, with Barçelona players Jules Kounde and Ousmane Dembele making the cut.

Jules Kounde, an ever-impressive defender for Sevilla last season before his big move to Barçelona at the recently concluded transfer window has also put in some exceptional performances even when played as a right-back or a center-back.

Racking up 3 league assists, and an impressive defensive record since his big move to Barçelona, has earned him his call-up to the national team for the FIFA World Cup. Making his debut for the national team on June 2nd, 2021 against Wales,  Jules Kounde would be looking to put in a standout performance as he goes for the First World Cup of his professional career.

Barçelona winger,  Ousmane Dembele was also on the list as well. He, however, already knows what it means to play at a World Cup and WIN as he was part of the squad in 2018 that won the trophy in Russia where he featured in four games.

Following the arrival of Xavi Hernandez as coach of FC Barcelona, we saw a different Dembele, a revitalized Ousmane Dembele who was able to turn whistles and jeers into claps and cheers. On his day, the Frenchman is a menace on the right side of attack, possessing key attributes of speed, dribbling, and passing would be a very valuable asset to Deschamps as they take on Australia for the first match of their WC campaign.

We wish them all the best from The Nation of Blaugrana.
